Growing up as a missionary kid in Papua New Guinea and then God calling me into missions at the age of 16 while on a missions trip, it feels like my whole life has been about missions.
In 2000, I married my beautiful wife, and God has given us three wonderful daughters. We left for South Africa as ABWE missionaries in 2007. Over the next eight years, we learned the Zulu language, opened an HIV/AIDS Hospice Care Home, and trained Zulu pastors.
Since 2015, I have served as a Regional Director for ABWE, first living in Tanzania, overseeing East Africa, and now living in Portugal, overseeing Western Europe. It is a joy to lead and develop missionaries, helping them fully live out their calling. I received my Master of Ministry in Organizational Leadership and am a leadership coach certified with ICF and John Maxwell. My passion is to help others to "taste and see that the LORD is good" (Psalm 34:8) and to "keep [their] heart with all vigilance" (Proverbs 4:23).
We currently live in Lisbon, Portugal, where I love hiking with my family, reading, exercising, and exploring remote places on my motorcycle.
Another passion of mine is writing, and I have published a book titled Overflowing: Ministry and Missions That Flow From the Heart. My second book, Godly Grit, is currently in the editing phase.
I began riding motorcycles in 2007 and have had the privilege of touring South Africa, Lesotho, Swaziland, and now Portugal. Exploring by motorcycle is one of my favorite times of worship as I get to see more of God's creation and be reminded how great He is!

God saved me from a true path of destruction at the age of 16. At youth camp, I surrendered to any ministry God would lead me to, and attended BBC (Springfield, MO) to prepare for whatever that may be. My senior year, God called me to short-term missions during a missions trip to England. After graduating in 2002 with a degree in missions, I went to England to work with an inner-city youth center through our local church and fulfilled the internship required by the BBFI. While I was in England, I traveled to Portugal, where God used a variety of experiences to call me to minister there full-time.
Over the last 17 years here in Portugal, God has continued to challenge me to follow him for deeper opportunities of service. For the first 7 years, I worked alongside another veteran missionary assisting in church planting efforts in a support role. In 2016, God moved us to another area of the greater Lisbon area, to plant a new church. We founded the Igreja Baptista Evangélica das Colinas, where I have been the lead pastor of a vibrant GROWING church. We have two services: English and Portuguese. We are dedicated to the discipleship of new converts, and work to engage each of them in the work of the ministry. I received my Master's in Pastoral Counseling to fill in some gaps as a pastor and church planter. In 2022, the BBFI asked me to take a leadership role as a member of the Advisory Board. In this role, I assist in training and recruiting new missionaries worldwide to share some of the lessons that God has taught me.
I began riding motorcycles in 2016 and fell in love with the open air. I am excited about the opportunity to combine my love for the open road with my passion for missions, and I look forward to this new chapter in ministry—sharing the experience with other enthusiasts and helping them see and enjoy God’s creation on the Iberian Peninsula.
